I love pale pink and this delicate rose is a unique way to say happy Mother’s Day. If you are into making home-made gifts you could paint it and frame it or make a card out of it.
Here we go.
Paper is Arches Hot pressed 90lbs. Brush is a round size 3. Paints are Lemon Yellow, Raw Sienna, Sap Green, Rose Madder genuine.

To finish I used a stronger green mix of Sap Green and Lemon Yellow to suggest veins on leaves and sharper shadows on stem. Then I added some tiny stronger patches of Rose Madder on the petals to suggest form.
Well I just needed to paint a tiny unfussy rose for a Mother’s Day image I was creating so I didn’t go too mad with it:)
It looks so simple and yet, it’s so pretty. 🙂
