For those who are mesmerised by colour, paintings, paints and paper and would love to have a day being totally immersed in watercolour I would like to announce my new Art Blossoms Painting Days.
I will be running regular watercolour tuition days from May through to the end of August in my home here in Pontypridd, South Wales.
Full and half-days available now – £45 for a full day and just £22.50 for a half day – all in!
Escape from your workday surroundings with all the usual distractions that pull you away from your art. Let your bohemian side have some fun. Nothing will disturb you here. Classes will have no more than two people in them so that I will be able to give you quality, tailored tuition from start to finish.

- My north facing studio is light and spacious and has everything you need to paint all day!I am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE & Trinity Cert. TESOL) and have painted for over 20 years. My watercolour florals and animals have been published by several major printing houses in the UK including Paperlink UK and Beechwood Publications Ltd. My work has been exhibited at the Royal Cambrian Academy and features regularly in popular UK home design magazines including GoodHomes, Coast, CraftSeller and LandLove.
In 2011 I was commissioned to produce an artwork for VIP guests of Brownhill Insurance Group and AXA Art who were the sponsors of the London Art Fair.
More recently I have begun giving watercolour demonstrations to local art societies and enjoy the two way street that is teaching and learning!

To see a range of my current animal art please pop over to Eastwitching Animal Gallery and to see a range of florals, landscapes and portrait work please go here.
BUT I CAN’T DRAW! I hear some of you say. Don’t worry – you don’t need to be able to draw like a professional to be able to produce a successful watercolour – I’ll show you how.
We will proceed at your pace and I will show you step-by-step how to paint.
Prior to your painting day we will have talked about your needs and worked out a plan so that we can focus on the areas in which you would like instruction. If you want to paint florals, landscapes, architecture or animals we can customise the schedule to suit your wishes. This is the course where you tell me what you need! (Please note I am not currently offering portraiture tuition).
You will have unlimited use of professional artists’ grade watercolour paper and paints while you create at your own workstation for the day.

My painting room is in my home making things relaxed and comfortable. No need to bring any equipment at all if you don’t want to as I have everything you need to paint watercolour here. But if you do have some favourite brushes and a palette please feel free to bring them along.

You’ll be able to have breaks and refreshments whenever you like and you might like to browse my varied art, creativity and self-development library over a coffee or tea for inspiration!

The cost for a full day (10am – 4.30pm) of painting tuition, all materials and use of artist’s quality equipment plus any refreshments during the day** is £45 per person and if you and a friend book together the cost goes down to £40 each.
**Please bring something for your lunch 🙂
A deposit of £10 at time of booking will secure your place. Should you need to cancel please do so at least 2 days before you were due to come and I can refund you in full. Any cancellations later than that will mean that you will lose your deposit in order to cover my costs.
Parking is right outside my house.
Course starts at 10am and ends at 4.30pm.
Please call me on 01443 791532 or email me at eastwitching@hotmail.com if you are ready to get away for a day of art and creativity!
OMG this sounds great and such good value, I’ll be in touch to book for me and my friend
Well that would be wonderful Anne – thanks so much. I’m looking forward to hearing just exactly what exactly you will want to focus on!
How exciting! I wish I lived 6000 miles closer to you to take advantage of this class.
Ah! me too – well – you can sort of join in as I put up more demos Milka! Have you ever done a watercolour class in the USA?
I took one a couple of years ago through the city. It was cheap and I got what I paid for. The teacher had a theme for each week and explained it in 5 minutes. Then you were on your own. Every time I asked for help, she pretty much told me to keep trying. Nice, huh? So I stopped after a few classes. I bet I could have bought a book for the same price and learned more!
I don’t know how someone could do that and take money from you … not good!
It was a group for “older” people but everyone can take the class. As I said, it was very cheap. But most of the people there know each other and use the time to chit chat and the teacher did the same. So whenever you asked for help, you were disturbing her. I only went to 3 classes until I realized I’d probably get more from a book. I have to work on mastering my graphics tablet at this time, so the watercolor will have to wait a bit.
That is a shame – I suppose good workshops are only found by recommendation….
