April has just galloped along hasn’t it! With Spring teasing us here and there making odd appearances and then vanishing. Let’s hope that we can enjoy warmer and brighter weather with every passing day.
I’ve been painting with a focus on animals but including some other subjects and today am unveiling the latest collection of my original works on paper.

Join me today – Friday 26th April for a virtual private view at my online gallery
www.eastwitchinganimalart.co.uk
– where you will find affordable, original works on paper.

This month has seen my start my art demo career! I had a lovely welcome from Pentyrch Art Society 2 weeks ago where I did a watercolour afternoon. Also this month I have joined a local art society to discipline myself to paint more. Cilfynydd Art Society is a relaxed group of painters meeting every week in Pontypridd, South Wales. Next year I hope they will let me take part in their annual exhibition!
Have a glass of virtual wine, put your feet up and browse with your fingers – enjoy!
Here are just a few of my originals that are featured in my April exhibition. But before you go I would like to send this exhibition of with a bang and do a print giveaway.

Excellent website. A lot of useful information here.
I’m sending it to a few pals ans also sharing in delicious. And of course, thank you on your sweat!
Thank you!
My favorite has to be the frog. I have always had a special fondness for frogs, and your frog image makes me feel hoppy.
So many beautiful works…..I guess my favourite would be the Puffin though the wolf and the door are terrific too. I like your demos….interesting to watch an artwork in progress.
Hi Sherry – that made me smile seeing you having a hard time choosing! Thanks so much for those lovely comments and glad you like seeing how it comes into being:)
Not only is the puffin delightful, but it also sends me into a reverie of remembering seeing puffins in the wild (Scotland). And I’m glad you’re enjoying expanding into pastels!
Thanks for that Virginia! I am glad he does something for you – your entry is now in!
Love the puffin, I go to pembrokeshire every year and skomer is always full of them http://www.eastwitchinganimalart.co.uk/pastel-puffin-painting-225-p.asp
Hi Jim
Thanks for entering and I’m delighted to hear how you feel about that pastel puffin of mine:) They are happy birds to paint. Let’s see what happens draw day ok. Alison
Had a tough time! Love all your work. But settled on the Bengal Cat cause it reminds me of my dad who instilled the animal lover part of me. The wolf was a close second!
Hi Cindy – that’s a lovely story:) I am glad you enjoyed the paintings and we shall see if you are lucky on 10th May!
Very tough choice! Your paintings are very beautiful, and I like the (relative) simplicity against the white backgrounds.
I’m going to choose the Red Panda as my favourite, with puffin as close second. Both have lovely character to them and stunning use of colour. One of my earliest memories is of being with my dad at London Zoo and seeing the usually quite shy red panda. For weeks afterwards I drew only them and sloths. My dad kept several pictures until recently. For these sentimental reasons, and because he has such a lovely face, Ted Panda is my favourite.

Sorry, fat fingers

Glad she resonates with you and thanks for entering Sharon!
I agree with Rebekah: everything you do is wonderful. I do like the door (A LOT) but I have to side with Red Panda. That’s my favorite.
Well what can I say – thanks so much – I hope you enjoyed your browse around the gallery – glass of wine in hand! Good luck for the draw:)
Hi Rebekah – thanks for your lovely comment and you have now also registered your entry in the print giveaway ok. I enjoyed painting the door – the dramatic shadows and colours were appealing!
All your work is beautiful. As much as I love the animal prints, I think my favorite is the Morrocan Door! It’s very lovely. Your talent is inspiring.
