For an upcoming Art Blossoms Painting Day I will be teaching  a lady how to paint cats.

Of course – the eyes are such a prominent feature in cats that I have had to do a special focus study on just that.

I used Arches hot pressed 90lb paper.

A size 3 and a 6 round brush.

Colours – Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Burnt Umber, French Ultramarine Blue, Cerulrean Blue, Rose Madder Genuine, Olive Green and Sap Green.

As the eyes were the main concern I have painted the face around very roughly so please excuse that.

Top Tip! – Have a mix of hard and soft edges in your eyes – it makes them more believable:)
