Just lately I have had a month off from teaching my watercolour classes.
Before I broke up for the summer I promised myself I would do some quirky and random play projects.
So I did. I committed to my creativity by allowing my self some pure play – and it felt good!
All I did was use lots of new colours that I had bought and painted them down (warp) and then across (weft) in the spirit of weaving.
The results captivated the child in me who just loves to watch shapes and strokes and colours blend.
Then I cut them up and mounted them onto complementary coloured card and made blank art greetings cards out of them which I now enclose as a free gift in every art print sale I make on my Etsy shop http://www.eastwitching.etsy.com.
Such fun – have a go and see what you get – the options are endless.
What a wonderful suggestion, instead of using a generic store bought card. I have been debating having note cards printed with my art to include in purchases, but this is even better.
Yes – aunthentic art is always a better option!
